Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated yearly in honor of the lord Shiva. It occurs on the 14th night of the new moon during the dark half of the month of February or March.
The celebration of Mahashivratri (actually implies the 'Amazing Night devoted for the love of Lord Shiva') is looked upon greatest reverence & respect by the devotees of Lord Shiva.
